Auto-Play Known Errors
Although I have made every attempt to deliver a high-quality, functioning software,
there are a few issues which I am aware of but have not been able to resolve.
- The PNG Library seems not to properly handle 16-color PNG files
(4-bit color encoding). I strongly suggest using 256 color (8-bit encoding)
or a higher color encoding.
- When using an animated splash image, Windows 7 sometimes returnes an error
when a .WMV file (Windows Media Video) is used. The encoder reports an "unspecified
error", which makes debugging a challenge. If possible, I recommend to use an AVI file
(Audio Video Interleave), as these seem to be more reliable.
